Join the Congress

Be part of a national forum for women. Join the Congress today to support the movement toward increasing the representation of women in elected office. The Congress is non-partisan, but acknowledges that the way for women to be recognized is through the collective voice heard within the circles of government.

You can join the Congress using Canada Helps. Our membership fee is currently $35.00 and is tax receiptable. Click on the Canada Helps icon to your left and choose “Membership” as your fund allocation.

The Canadian Women Voters Congress is a registered charitable organization.  Our mission is to educate and encourage women of all backgrounds and political persuasions to get involved in the political process and assume leadership positions.

The Congress

  • Initiated the first non-partisan Women’s Campaign School.  It is the longest running school of its kind in Canada.  The school teaches women the skills to run a successful election campaign offering federal, provincial, municipal perspectives by elected politicians.
  • Will continue to offer the Women’s Campaign School, now in its eleventh year.  The next school will take place at SFU Harbour Centre, Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
  • Distributes information to members on current issues and events.
  • Promotes participation by women in all levels of government.
